Two ways to direct your video

Choose the inputs that give you the right amount of creative control.

Bring one image to life

Start with a single image and describe what moves. Image-to-video follows the source image’s aspect ratio, keeping your framing as the starting point.

Combine visual references

Use 1–15 images to guide characters, clothing, objects and environments. Explain each image’s role in the prompt to reduce ambiguity.

Create picture and sound together

Enable native audio for dialogue, ambience and sound effects. Reference mode also accepts up to three MP3 voice clips, each 3–12 seconds long.

More control over identity, motion and sound

Direct the parts of a video that matter to your story, with output settings that fit your workflow.

Keep your subject recognizable

Reference images guide appearance as a scene develops. Use clear views of the same subject and describe which details should stay consistent across actions and shots.

Assign each reference a role

Refer to “reference image 1” for a character and “reference image 2” for a setting.

Give the model clear visual cues

Choose complementary references and avoid conflicting faces, clothing or styles.

Shape the action and camera movement

Guide pace, subject movement and camera direction in the prompt. A 3–16 second clip gives you room for a focused action or a short sequence of shots.

Describe what changes

Specify the subject’s action and the camera’s path, rather than a long list of visual adjectives.

Choose your output format

Use 540p, 720p, 1080p, 2K or 4K. Reference mode offers five aspect ratios; image mode follows the original image.

Give dialogue a voice and a setting

Generate sound alongside the visuals or turn audio off for your own edit. In reference mode, voice clips help guide the speakers’ vocal character.

Match voices to speakers

Name the speaker, quote the dialogue and identify the corresponding reference audio.

Leave room for the performance

Keep dialogue short enough for the selected duration, then review pronunciation and timing.

Vidu Q4 questions

Can I generate a video using only text?

This generator requires an image. Use one image in image-to-video mode or 1–15 images in reference-to-video mode, then describe how the scene should develop.

How many image and audio references can I add?

Reference mode accepts up to 15 JPEG, PNG or WebP images and three optional MP3 clips. Each audio clip must be 3–12 seconds. Images and audio are numbered separately in upload order.

Can I upload a reference video or an ending frame?

Vidu Q4 on SceneFlare accepts images and optional audio references. Reference video and separate ending-frame inputs are not available in these modes.

Which duration, resolution and aspect ratio can I choose?

Choose any whole-second duration from 3 to 16 and one of five resolutions: 540p, 720p, 1080p, 2K or 4K. Image-to-video follows your image ratio. Reference mode offers 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 and 3:4.

How are credits calculated?

Credits depend on output resolution and duration. The generator updates the quote when you change these settings. Review it before submitting; higher resolutions and longer videos cost more.

Will the characters and voices match perfectly?

References guide generation but do not guarantee an exact match. Clear inputs and specific prompts help. Review faces, clothing, dialogue and motion before publishing your video.
